Kim began working with young students right out of high school and after college, taught Kindergarten and worked as a school administrator for 9 years before opening her first vocal studio in 1991. Kim has been teaching vocal and choral music to singers of all ages since then.

Kim Cyrus joined the RCTC artistic staff in the fall of 2001 after re-locating to the Sacramento area and has since been the RCTC musical director for the past 24 shows. Kim is currently the owner/director of Sacramento Performing Arts Company and a music educator in the Rocklin Unified School District. Kim currently resides in Rocklin with her husband and 3 children.
